The pattern calls for worsted weight, whereas this is double knitting, but I think I can hit gauge by knitting with 2 strands at once. I will have to swatch (which I hate doing, it just feels like a wasted piece of knitting!) to make sure I am right about this, must dash...!!!

HLBOES Summer SPEW project
I've just seen that in HLBOES we are contributing two-tone strips to an Afghan for a summer SPEW project. I've just checked my stash and found some yarn which I think is suitable - it came from Mr Wychwood's mother, who is sadly now too riddled with arthritis to knit any more.
The pattern calls for worsted weight, whereas this is double knitting, but I think I can hit gauge by knitting with 2 strands at once. I will have to swatch (which I hate doing, it just feels like a wasted piece of knitting!) to make sure I am right about this, must dash...!!!
